Action Event: Donation Vinyasa Class for Presente Maine

  • The Portland Yoga Project 449 Forest Avenue Portland, Maine, 04101 United States (map)

Saturday, October 31, 2026 from 11am-12pm-ish

with Victoria Rutledge at PYP FOREST

For the last few years, The Portland Yoga Project has been working hard to truly embody the values of mutuality and solidarity that is at the heart of a fully expressed yoga practice. We’ve created a database of organizations and non-profits who are doing value aligned work. We have invited our students and community members to create comprehensive mutual aid plans that keep them in relationship to all the positive work that's going on in the greater Portland area (whether that’s $5 a month, or $50). We’ve created affinity spaces where folks of all identities can gather, generally for free, to get a chance to move and play in their bodies, and their pace.

But we know that we can do more.

Starting this fall, we are going to host events that directly fund the organizations that we support.

On Saturday, October 31st, Vinyasa with Victoria at 11am will be a donation-based class that benefits Presente! Maine. We will talk about the good work that Presente is doing in service to the immigrant population here in Maine, and make sure that we are leaving folks inspired and accountable for setting up their continual mutual aid practices.

We will have snacks and some time to hang out after the class, to get to know each other and build the kind of bonds that remind us that our safety, liberation, and agency are tied together!

Bring a friend, bring your wallet, and bring your body to move and be in community.

Register below for free so we know how many to expect. Donations will be taken at the desk!
