Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Scholarship
We offer scholarships to the descendants of people who have been affected by the ongoing ramifications of settler colonialism, slavery, and racism and who wish to participating in our Yoga, Prenatal, or Barre Teacher Trainings. We recognize a severe under-representation of BIPOC in the yoga & barre community, and seek to actionably and sustainably shift the dynamics of power in our community away from white supremacy.
Our hope is to support a yoga and barre community in Portland, Maine that is truly welcoming and justice-oriented.
The number of scholarships available varies from training to training, however, we do our best to increase access to as many students as possible.
Requirements for Applicants:
Identify as BIPOC
Have had a consistent and dedicated practice
Have a commitment to teaching after training is complete
Be able to attend all dates of the training

Submit a personal statement introducing yourself, explaining what role yoga or barre has played in your life, why you would like to take the training & how you will use the training in the near future. Please use the form below.
We are currently accepting applications for the 2024-2025 300hr Yoga Teacher Training. Applications are due by June 1. You will be notified of the financial aid that is available by June 30.
