Embodied Creativity: A Yoga & Writing Workshop

  • The Portland Yoga Project 129 Newbury Street Portland, Maine, 04101 United States (map)

Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 2pm-4pm

with Miranda Beggin & Emma Reynolds at PYP DOWNTOWN

Embodied Creativity blends gentle yoga, guided meditation, and reflective writing to support creativity, clarity, and self-connection. Through accessible movement and breath, you’ll create space in your body and nervous system. From that grounded place, you’ll be guided through simple writing prompts designed to help you explore what’s present for you—without overthinking, pressure, or the need to produce anything “perfect.” This is not a performance-based writing workshop, and there’s no expectation to share your writing unless you want to. The focus is on process over product: noticing sensation, emotion, and thought, and allowing words to emerge organically from that awareness.

No prior yoga or writing experience is required. This space is welcoming of all bodies, backgrounds, and creative identities. Whether you’re feeling creatively blocked, emotionally full, or simply craving a few hours of quiet reflection, this workshop offers a gentle, supportive container to reset and reconnect. You’ll leave feeling more settled in your body, clearer in your mind, and more connected to your own inner rhythms and creative energy.
