Anti-racism, Decolonization & Yoga

We believe that in order to honor the roots and sacred traditions of yoga, we must actively seek justice on behalf of those who have been silenced in the wake of colonialism and racism. A first step of action is to listen and to learn. We offer this reading and listening list to those whom, like many of us in the PYP community, live with the privilege of whiteness. We offer these resources with humility and approach our own complicity in white supremacy with openness and compassion, with the belief that when we continue to show up, healing is possible.

The following resources are heavily gleaned from the "Yoga is Dead" podcast resource page. Tejal and Jesal are Desi women doing the emotional labor of providing these resources. Please consider supporting their patreon page or sending one-time support to their podcast on venmo @yogaisdeadpodcast.
