Thawing out doesn't always come easy — Spring can begin as a slow process to rise up again from the ground, from within a tree, from under our wool blankets. Yoga helps us navigate this transition, brings balance & can point us in our own unique direction.

In this workshop we'll keep it slow, simple & intentional —  with yin yoga asana, mudra & meditation we'll target the fascia, joints & liver-gallbladder network of the body while supporting our aspirations for the season ahead.

Friday | June 14th | 7:00pm - 8:00pm | $30

Stress and emotions like grief, anger and guilt can be so difficult to express that many people suppress, deny, and ignore them, wasting energy and compromising the flow of prana (life force energy), perhaps setting themselves on a path of emotional imbalance, stress and disease. Yoga Nidra offers an opportunity to acknowledge, accept, and release those emotions. Yoga Nidra is a deep, guided meditation and visualization that opens your heart to call in your deepest desires and release what no longer serves you. Yoga Nidra means "sleep with trace awareness". You will be invited to go inward for deep rest and deep nourishment. Yoga Nidra offers you a pathway to physical, mental, and emotional relaxation and wellness. Show yourself some love and care, while going inward, receiving the healing benefits of rest and finding emotional balance. Allow yourself to feel your body, mind and spirit, while holding yourself lovingly.  This class will begin with some gentle movement and pranayama (breathing techniques) to prepare for Yoga Nidra. No experience needed. Everyone is welcome.

Do you have pain in your lower back and sacrum when you backbend? Do you have a stiff upper back that just won’t allow for a wide “open” chest in cobra? Or on the flip side, do you suffer from not understanding how to “draw your front ribs in”? Come discover and dive deeper into the power of your CLA: central longitudinal axis, your core canister, and how to use tensegrity to create more space in between your upper body (rib area) and lower body (pelvic bowl) for more easeful & spacious backbending. Learn how to use the space to create more mobility within the bones of your spine, and stability within your trunk and hips for safer, more efficient backbending.

Tensegrity in Flight:

Sunday | December 8th | 1:00pm-3:30pm | $45 or $50 day of

This workshop is all about building strength, stability, and support in the shoulder girdle to prep for the heavier load bearing demands that arm balances and inversions ask of the body. The workshop will culminate in an exploration of several inversions and arm balances with some supported and accessible variations that highlight lightness, movement efficiency and ease. We will dive deep into the mechanics of the shoulders and upper body. We will mobilize and strengthen the shoulder girdle, harness a supple and strong core, move around our central longitudinal axis, neutralize and balance our hips and shoulders, create length and spinal space, and explore it all from a different perspective!
